Buying a trampoline requires a decent amount of research. As part of that research, one of the things you’ll have to consider is whether a round or rectangular trampoline best suits your needs.
For families that want a safe trampoline with a large jumping surface, a round trampoline makes the most sense. For gymnasts and other athletes that want to practice flips or tricks, a rectangle trampoline is the best option.
What do you do, however, if you’d like a combination between the benefits of a round trampoline and those of a rectangle trampoline? The answer is simple — enter the square trampoline.
Skywalker’s 14-foot square trampoline is a nice balanced option for those who want to explore a variety of trampoline activities. So, is the 14-foot Skywalker trampoline the best for you and your family? Let’s talk about it in the…

Pros
Large Jumping Area
This square Skywalker trampoline offers a pretty large surface to jump on. You can likely fit 2 adults or 3 young children on this trampoline comfortably.
Of course, we’re not condoning having multiple people on the trampoline as it goes against manufacturer recommendations.
Consider this an FYI (for your information) on approximately how large the trampoline is rather than us advocating that you go against manufacturer recommendations and exceed your Skywalker’s trampoline’s weight limit or a maximum number of allowed people.
Disclaimers aside, we’ll say that the chances of you being satisfied with the space this trampoline provides are overwhelmingly good.
Good Value
Moving onward, another reason you’ll love the Skywalker 14 foot square trampoline is that it’s affordable. While there are lots of cheap round trampolines out there, this may be the cheapest square trampoline we’ve seen at this size.
Very Sturdy
This trampoline can take more abuse than a punching bag. This trampoline is TOUGH. While there are always exceptions, you’re probably going to have far fewer maintenance problems with this trampoline compared to similar models.
Enclosure Net For Safety
Having an enclosure net for your trampoline makes the jumping experience safer for everyone involved (including your dog!). Having a trampoline with a net can also make games like Poison Balls more fun to play on the trampoline.
Cons
Inconsistent Bounce Quality
We’re only going to list one con for this trampoline. Unfortunately, it’s a pretty major one. For whatever reason, this trampoline just doesn’t produce high bounces for its jumpers.
While there are things you can do to remedy this, such as cross the trampoline’s springs (NOTE: We are not recommending this for safety reasons), overall this trampoline just doesn’t offer high bounces.
You really need to put effort into your bounces to get any real height. While this decreases your family’s risk of injury and discourages your children from doing any flips, it also reduces the amount of fun one is likely to have to jump on this trampoline.
Overall
Should you buy the Skywalker 14 foot square trampoline? This is a tough decision. It’s also one that we can’t make for you. With that being said, if we were in the market to purchase a trampoline for ourselves, we’d probably pass on this trampoline after a whole lot of deliberation.
As thrill seekers, we’d want a trampoline more friendly to flips and tricks. If we were cautious parents, however, we would probably give this trampoline a go, however, as the netting plus mediocre bounce quality makes it one of the safest trampolines on the market.
P.S. Want a bouncier trampoline? Consider Skywalker’s 15’ foot rectangle trampoline.
